IT CAME FROM OUT OF NOWHERE
I had none of the classic warning signs and symptoms.
My BP was in the healthy range.
My cholesterol was in the healthy range.
My stress level was not going off the charts.
There was nothing really wrong with me.
I WAS FADING LIKE A NAG TRAILING THE FIELD OF HORSESBut I was fading, fading like a nag trailing the field of horses. In fact, I knew something wasn't exactly right and that is why I had gone to a health fair a couple of weeks before in order to have all the tests done. They all came out in healthy ranges. So, not much came from the health fair "per se." Except the fact that I happened to bump into a couple of people who handed me a brochure.
I looked the brochure over a little bit and liked what I saw, but I wasn't quite ready to spend the necessary cash to get into another, health and wellness based, network marketing scheme. A few weeks later, when I came home with two stents in one of the arteries on my heart that had split open, I had a completely different perspective.
I WAS SKEPTICAL ABOUT SOME OF THE MEDICATIONS ON MY LISTWhen I came home from the hospital, I was only taking two of the long list of medications that had been prescribed for me. I don't even remember what they were, but they were short term meds, which I was told were essential in those first few weeks. I was skeptical about two of the others on the list.
You see, one was to regulate my blood pressure, which was and has always been in a normal, healthy range, and the other was to control my cholesterol, which was also in a normal, healthy range. I read the side effects on both of those medications and started to reason.
"Why would I risk those side effects in order to regulate problems that weren't even problems?"
In fact, the only explanation I had for the reason behind the artery in my heart splitting open was that I had plaque buildup that caused a dam, which made the blood force open the artery. The puzzle was why would that happen if my cholesterol was normal? The doctor's explanation was that my HDL was a little low and we needed to raise it with niacin.
I was taking some major doses of niacin. And then I picked up that brochure that I'd gotten at the health fair. The brochure was from Synergy Worldwide. Their major product line revolved around an amino acid called L-Arginine, the product is called ProArgi 9+. In short, ProArgi 9+ helped in the production of nitric oxide. I discovered, by reading testimonies of others who had much more severe heart conditions than my own, that the stuff really works. I joined, I started taking it and it really did work.
I WAS GIVING BOYS 25 YEARS YOUNGER THAN ME A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY AFTER ONLY TWO WEEKSTwo weeks after I left the hospital, I was trying to outwork four boys from the Mesa State University football team as we shoveled sand out of ditches. Given the fact that I was more than 25 years older than them, I was doing pretty good.
This post isn't about advertising a particular product, though I still highly recommend ProArgi 9+, but it is about how I came to realize that it isn't necessary to put every chemical handed to you by a doctor or pharmacist into your mouth, just because they say so. In fact, in many cases, you'll create more problems than you had in first place.
I STARTED TO EDUCATE MYSELFOver the past six years I have been educating myself on natural alternatives to pharmaceuticals. I've discovered a lot of great information about foods, herbs, health practices and even essential oils, which can make a significant impact on your live and how your body functions.
So, without further ado...
