About

"Abundance of Heaven" began from a personal journey through grief and hope. "Shefa Shamayim" was the name given to our son meaning, "Abundance of Heaven." We lost him, still-birth at 32 weeks. In the wake of losing our son I wrote a book to share my testimony of grief, healing, and the experience of seeing him in heaven during labor. I wanted to create a space where other mothers who have experienced pregnancy loss could find comfort, encouragement, and a sense of community.

During our time in the hospital after Shefa's passing, we were gifted a box of comfort. It included a baby blanket, a small hat, angel wings, and heartfelt sympathy cards. While we left the hospital without our baby in our arms, this tangible item—a box made just for him—remained a precious memory.

Years later, inspired by that experience, we decided to extend this mission of comfort and hope to other bereaved mothers and families. Our goal was simple: to provide a tangible reminder of love and hope to those facing similar heartbreak. And so, the Shefa Box was born. Each box is thoughtfully curated to offer comfort during one of life's most difficult times, made with love.

From the beginning, our entire family came together to make this vision a reality. My mother, Nana Tisa, who initially didn’t know how to crochet or make blankets or hats, quickly learned the craft. To this day, she creates each blanket and hat with her hands and prays over them. Alongside Nana Tisa, Shefa’s siblings and other family members contribute their time and talents, making each box a true labor of love.

Through "Abundance of Heaven," we are more than just an outreach; we are a family committed to offering healing, comfort, and encouragement. Our mission is to bring hope to mothers through my personal testimony, the Shefa boxes, and soon, a growing space for prayer and retreats. We believe in the power of prayer and community, and every week, we gather to pray for and with mothers walking a journey of grief.

We are honored to walk alongside you.
