Life offers profound challenges, and for Rayah Shalom and her husband, losing their son Shefa was one of the hardest moments they faced. Instead of letting grief consume them, with the strength of God, their pain was turned into a compassionate mission that has changed the lives of many children in the US and Africa. Thus, the Shefa Foundation emerged.

The Shefa Foundation serves as a beacon of hope, providing support for orphans and underprivileged children while working to strengthen existing ministries and churches. Rayah and her family's story is one of resilience and compassion, illustrating how something beautiful can grow from tragedy.

The Birth of Hope

The Shefa Foundation began with a powerful desire to make a difference. Following the stillbirth of their son, Rayah and her husband were engulfed in grief. However, they chose to turn their sorrow into an opportunity for healing through service. This shift in perspective led to the foundation, committed to caring for children often overlooked by society.

By creating the Shefa Foundation, they not only honored their son's memory but also addressed a critical need in the care of abandoned children. Their mission is to bring hope and joy into the lives of those who need it most.

Providing Assistance to Orphanages

A key initiative of the Shefa Foundation is to support orphanages in Africa. Many of these institutions face severe resource shortages, which significantly impact their operations and the well-being of the children they serve.

Through donations and strategic partnerships, the foundation has made considerable strides in improving the conditions of these orphanages. We have been blessed to provide shelter, nutritious meals, and educational opportunities to many children in Africa. Through these efforts, we strive to create a foundation for a brighter and more hopeful future.

By investing in these orphanages, the Shefa Foundation helps create nurturing environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive despite difficult beginnings.

Strengthening Ministries and Churches

In tandem with supporting orphanages, the Shefa Foundation invests in enhancing local ministries and churches. These institutions often play a vital role in their communities, particularly in areas struggling with poverty. By empowering these organizations, the foundation fosters safe havens for children and families alike.

Rayah and her husband believe that true transformation begins with God. They have witnessed His power at work in even the most remote places and among the orphaned and vulnerable.

A Legacy of Hope

Rayah Shalom and her husband's journey after the loss of their son, Shefa, powerfully demonstrates love's ability to overcome heartache with the strength of Jesus. God graciously turned their grief into something special: a legacy of hope for many
